School House Rock Live! comes to the Auburn Avenue Theater for two performances this weekend.

Curtains will open at 7:30 p.m. Friday and 2 p.m. Saturday at the historic theater, 10 Auburn Ave.

The production will feature kids from the Parks After School Theater Camp, supported and offered through the Auburn Parks, Arts & Recreation Department. The performances are part of the Avenue Kids series.

A pop culture phenomenon comes to the musical stage, based on the Emmy Award-winning 1970s Saturday morning cartoon series that taught history, grammar, math, science and politics through clever, tuneful songs.

General admission tickets are $6.

Call Auburn Parks, Arts & Rec to purchase tickets in advance at 253-931-3043. Tickets will be available at the door, one hour prior to show time.
