Dayla Walker, 31, captured the fourth annual Auburn On Stage! singing competition, formerly known as Auburn Idol, during the finals Friday night at Les Gove Park. The stay-at-home mom sang Martina McBride’s ‘Anyway’ and Dusty Springfield’s ‘You Don’t Have to Say You Love Me’ en route to winning the adult category and $500 first-place prize. Jade Swepston, 14, took the junior competition, wowing the audience with her rendition of Mariah Carey’s ‘We Belong Together.’ The event was put on by the Auburn Parks, Arts & Recreation Department.
