America’s legendary parody master, “Weird Al” Yankovic has been capturing the lighter side of life since 1979 when he was a young college disc jockey at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo recording “My Bologna,” a spoof of The Knack’s “My Sharona.” His parodies have carried on over the years, including Eminem, Nelly, Avril Lavigne, Backstreet Boys and Billy Joel in his Grammy-winning comedy album, Poodle Dog.
Tickets will be going on sale for the remainder of the Puyallup Fair 2011 Columbia Bank Concert Series lineup in the next few months. Visit the Fair website, www.thefair.com/concerts/ for updates, or sign up at www.thefair.com to receive email or text announcements prior to the concert on-sale dates.
