Adult family home operator pleads not guilty to rape charge

The operator of an adult family home pleaded not guilty Monday to a charge of second-degree rape for the alleged sexual assault of an 83-year-old woman who suffers from dementia.

The operator of an adult family home pleaded not guilty Monday to a charge of second-degree rape for the alleged sexual assault of an 83-year-old woman who suffers from dementia.

The defendant, Laszlo Molnar, 67, remains in jail with bail set at $750,000. The sexual assault occurred Nov. 13 at the AA Adult Family Home in Auburn.

The victim’s family suspected something was wrong and placed a hidden camera in the victim’s room. Molnar’s case hearing is scheduled for Dec. 11 at the Maleng Regional Justice Center.
