Alcohol thieves strike Rite Aid | Auburn police blotter

Auburn Police responded to the following incidents, among many others, between May 10 and May 15:

May 10

Theft of vehicle parts: Overnight, 500 block of C Street SW. Theft of yet another catalytic converter, this one involving misdemeanor vandalism.

Commercial burglary: 8 a.m., 231 D St. NW. Burglars hit Aluminum and Bronze Fabricators sometime between May 7 and May 10, depriving it of unspecified valuables.

Felonious bike theft: 10 a.m., 1600 block of 15th Street Southwest. Somebody or several somebodies stole an unspecified number of bicycles from their rightful owners.

Theft from motor vehicle: 12:30 p.m., 1402 Auburn Way N. Someone reached into a vehicle and stole a purse and a phone.

May 11

Misdemeanor vandalism: Overnight, 3400 block of C Street Northeast. A man complained that someone had cut his brake lines.

Shoplifting: 12:15 p.m., 1509 Auburn Way S. Two guys stole multiple bottles of alcohol from Rite Aid and got away.

Shoplifting: 12:27 p.m., 1509 Auburn Way S. A few minutes later, another guy shoplifted multiple bottles of alcohol from the same Rite Aid and got away.

Shoplifting: 5:14 p.m., 4010 A St. SE. Another guy possibly stole some booze from a local grocery store and made a clean getaway.

May 12

Weapons violation: 7:14 a.m., 12500 block of Southeast 304th Street. An illegal discharge and possible assault went down in the mid-morning hours of this day.

Burglary: 3:53 a.m., 13700 block of Southeast 299th Street. A shed was burglarized twice in the last week while its owner was out of town.

May 13

Assault: 3:20 p.m., 1300 block of 71st Street Southeast. A man reported that a man he knew had assaulted him outside his residence.

Shoplifting: 4:15 p.m., 4310 A St. SE. Two guys shoplifted from the south AutoZone.

Assault: 8:48 p.m., 1403 Auburn Way S. Two guys in a vehicle were targeted with a paintball gun.

May 14

Explosives/incendiary problem: 8 p.m., 200 block of M Street Southeast. Police found and destroyed a hoax explosive.

May 15

Assault: 4:50 p.m., 1400 block of Auburn Way S. A female claimed she was assaulted, but multiple witnesses confirmed she was not, and she was trespassed from the location.
