Following is a sample from the Auburn police log.

Arson

Auburn police arrested a man for arson on Aug. 20 in the 100 block of A Street Northwest. According to the department’s public information log, Auburn police were dispatched after receiving a report at approximately 10:23 a.m. regarding arson of an uninhabited motor vehicle. The incident resulted in damages to a woman’s 1972 Ford. Police booked the man on charges of arson in the second degree.

Vehicle robbery

Auburn police arrested a man on Aug. 21 after an armed robbery in the 300 block of 35th Street Southeast the previous day. Auburn police were dispatched on Aug. 20 at approximately 9:24 p.m. after receiving a report of a robbery involving a firearm. The department declared a .45 caliber handgun as evidence in the incident.

According to the department’s log, the suspect stole a 2018 Kia. Police booked the man on a felony charge of robbery in the first degree. According to the department’s log, the man committed additional offenses including felony eluding of a police vehicle and a weapons offense.

Robbery

Auburn police arrested a man on Aug. 21 after an armed robbery in the 2600 block of Auburn Way North. Auburn police were dispatched on Aug. 21 after receiving a report at approximately 2:08 a.m. regarding a robbery involving a firearm. According to the department’s log, the department arrested the man on felony charges including robbery in the first degree and possession of a stolen firearm. The department also listed the man having committed a weapons offense in addition to the charges. The department declared a handgun as evidence in the incident and listed one victim in the incident. The log listed no stolen items.

Armed juvenile

Auburn police were dispatched on Aug. 17 after receiving a report at approximately 7:35 p.m. of a weapons offense in the 3600 block of Auburn Way South. According to the department’s log, the reporting party advised dispatch of a juvenile boy armed with a firearm. The department listed two suspects in the incident.

Retirement home

Auburn police were dispatched on Aug. 15 after receiving a report at approximately 12:10 p.m. regarding an aggravated assault at a retirement home in the 2900 block of I Street Northeast. According to the department’s log, the incident involved two women, with one serving as the victim and the second as a suspect.

Felony harassment

Auburn police arrested a man on Aug. 14 for felony harassment near the 3300 block of Scenic Drive Southeast. Auburn police were dispatched after receiving a report at approximately 6 p.m. According to the department’s log, police booked the man on a charge of felony harassment, declaring an 8-inch butcher knife as evidence in the incident.
