The Auburn Area Chamber of Commerce and Enterprise Washington are holding a “Jobs for Main Street Rally” on Friday at One Main Street in Auburn to raise awareness of the issues facing the state’s business community in the upcoming November mid-term elections.
The noon rally will be held in front of the One Main Street Professional Plaza, located at 1 E. Main St., Auburn.
Nancy Wyatt, president & COO of the Auburn Area Chamber of Commerce, will be in attendance along with Mark Johnson, vice president of Government Affairs with the Washington Retail Association (WRA), who will discuss what government officials must do to help local businesses grow and create new private sector jobs.
The “Jobs for Main Street Rally”, which is open to the public, is an opportunity for employees and employers in the greater Auburn area to come together to discuss issues facing the business community. The rally also is a chance for voters to show their support for candidates who will focus on creating private sector jobs and passing economic and tax policies that will help businesses grow and strengthen the state’s struggling economy.
“Jobs for Main Street Rallies” have been organized by Enterprise Washington to occur in towns all over the State on Friday, coinciding with the first day general election ballots will begin arriving in mailboxes statewide.
