Auburn’s ArtRageous Festival has a new spot and flavor this year.

The fourth annual community celebration – which runs from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday – shifts from Les Gove Park to downtown Auburn, adding entertainment for all ages.

The family festival invites the public to work alongside professional artists to make works of art.

A beer and wine garden will be in the Plaza Park across the street from the Main Stage that will bring the music of Mr. Pink, and Whiskey River, a Lynyrd Skynyrd Tribute Band.

A juried art show will be on display in the City Hall Plaza gallery. Artists will be in businesses throughout the downtown core as part of the Art Walk. Artists will wood carve, transfer texture to metal, make prints and sculpt in clay.

The public can discover interactive temporary sculptures as they make their way through the blocks of the festival.

Throughout the day the public can locate, and then play a tune, on the four Pianos on Parade. The pianos have been given a new exterior via artist modification and will be out for three weeks for anyone to stop by and play anything from “Chopsticks” to Chopin.

The public also can find a sculptural installation that has 72 corked and empty wine bottles sandblasted with “happiness” and a list of creative ingredients.

A temporary installation, “Pixilation” by artist Nicole Kistler, will be a striking circular fabric artwork on display throughout the City Hall Plaza, interpreting what “bouncing light looks like.”

ArtRageous is presented by the City of Auburn and made possible with the generous support of 4Culture and 4Culture Site Specific.
