Evergreen Heights Elementary School students joined hundreds of thousands of sport-stackers around the world in an attempt to break last year’s record of 276,053 stackers.

Each participant was required to stack cups, big and small, for 30 minutes to be included in the record attempt.

The record was indeed broken. The Evergreen Heights students were among more than 307,000 people worldwide to stack cups for a half-hour period in a single day.

The game, known as sport-stacking, involves a set of 12 uniformly-sized cups. The cups are placed upside down on a flat surface and stacked in one of three configurations, then disassembled quickly. The process is repeated as many times as possible in the allotted amount of time.
