Auburn is searching for artists to contribute downtown sculptures

Your sculpture could be on display in downtown Auburn for a year.

Attention artists: The City of Auburn is now taking applications for sculptures to be displayed at Auburn’s Downtown Sculpture Gallery.

The sculptures selected for the exhibit will be on loan to the city for 12 months, but can be available for sale while on display, according to the city.

Every artist who is selected will receive a $1,000 stipend. Once the exhibit is over, the city may purchase a sculpture to be displayed in the city’s permanent collection. The city’s purchasing budget is $10,000.

You can apply online at the City of Auburn website under the Parks, Arts and Entertainment tab. The deadline to apply is April 6 at 10:59 p.m.
