Auburn man shot, killed after vehicle pursuit

A Kent Police Officer shot and killed a 20-year-old Auburn man just after midnight Saturday following a vehicle pursuit near the area of 99th Avenue and South 244th Street, authorities reported.

The suspect was declared deceased following life-saving efforts from officers and medical personnel.

The Valley Investigative Team is investigating the officer-involved shooting. The Des Moines Police Department is the lead agency investigating the shooting.
