Gudzyk, who also won a state title this season, in the girl’s 152-pound division, also finished first at the freestyle tourney.

Both Gudyzk and Peretti will wrap up their high school careers in July, representing Washington State at the National competition in Fargo, N.D.

Lion junior Lucas Huyber grabbed a second-place finish at the tourney and junior Alanna Alegria finished in third.

Zach Huyber wrapped up his high school career with a sixth place finish and Erik English was seventh in his weight class.

Sophomore Brandon Perry distinguished himself in the 119 division, the biggest of the tourney, wrestling seven matches and scratching out an eighth-place finish.

The 2010 Cadet and Junior National Championship tourney will be conducted July 18-24 in Fargo, N.D.
