Auburn police responded to the following calls for service, among many others, between May 31 and June 1:
May 31
Forgery: 12:13 p.m., 1207 Auburn Way N. A customer used a stolen credit card number to purchase undisclosed products worth undisclosed amounts from a business police declined to name but which was, in fact, Supercuts.
Property: 12:38 p.m., 200 E. Main St. Persons unknown stole somebody’s wallet from his unlocked vehicle. Police did not disclose a value for the loss.
June 1
Theft: 7:30 a.m., 400 block of 26th Street Northeast. An unknown person or persons stole an 80-gallon air compressor from a small shed at an unspecified business.
Fraud: 9:08 a.m., 200 block of 13th Street Southeast. A woman came into the Auburn Police Department to report a fraud involving checks from the United Kingdom.
Theft: 9:30 a.m., 300 block of Lund Road Southwest. Somebody stole a flat-bed semi trailer from a business yard. Police did not disclose the value of the loss.
Burglary: Overnight, 500 block of 16th Street Northeast. Unknown persons pried open a door on the east side of an unspecified business, and while inside pried open several file cabinets and stole some checks. Police did not disclose the value of the loss.
Theft: 11:43 a.m., 2000 block of Riverview Drive Northeast. Unknown family members stole a man’s medication from his home.
Forgery: 12:30 p.m., 24 A St. SE. Police arrested a man for trying to cash a $48,000 personal check at Chase Bank. The guy said he got the check from a friend in California to help another friend get out of London.
Shoplifting: 7:45 p.m., 4010 A St. SE. Employees of the south end Albertsons saw a male person stealing an 18-pack of Bud Light.
