July 24

Vandalism: Overnight, 410 H St. NE. While a van used by Cristo Vive Church was peaceably parked in Messiah Lutheran Church’s parking lot, vandals defaced it with graffiti.

July 27

Controlled substance: 11:51 a.m., 340 E. Main St. An Auburn Police detective helped the U.S. Post Office in 2014 when it seized a large sum of money directly associated with illegal drug sales. Two years later, the $2,500 then seized was given to the Auburn Police Department, and an officer deposited it with the City’s Finance Department.

Trespassing: 10:38 p.m., 1702 Auburn Way N. Saars Supersaver Foods launched a naughty man from its property, saying something like, “Don’t you come back now, hear?!”

Controlled substance: 10 a.m., 2600 Auburn Way S. Somebody found a large amount of dried marijuana at the Muckleshoot fireworks stands.

July 28

Theft: 3:28 p.m., 2100 block of Auburn Way S. Sometime between July 16 and 21, suspects unknown entered somebody’s domicile while he or she was sleeping and stole a guitar and amplifier.

Theft: 3:30 p.m., 801 Auburn Way N. An unknown person stole a money order from an Auburn resident at Fred Meyer.

Theft from motor vehicle: 5:30 p.m., 2020 Mountain View Drive SW. Somebody stole items from a vehicle parked at the Mountain View Cemetery.

July 31

Shoplifting: 7:55 p.m., 4010 A St. SE. Police busted a kid for shoplifting, vandalism, trespassing and for being a minor in possession after he stole booze from Albertsons.

Strong arm street robbery: 9:08 p.m., 4600 block of B Street Northwest. A guy tried to buy drugs from some dealers, and they stole his money and his shoes.

Aug. 1

Theft: 7:43 a.m., 1268 E. Main St. Somebody broke into a lock box at Auburn Family Dentistry and stole a tooth crown and a tray.

Theft: 8:30 a.m., 2700 block of Alpine Drive Southeast. Somebody stole another person’s boat motor.

Theft: 5 p.m., 2120 Auburn Way N. Store surveillance spied a woman stealing stuff from Smoke Cheap Price.

Shoplifting: 5:45 p.m., 1101 Outlet Collection Way SW. Having busted a woman for shoplifting at numerous stores at the mall, police booked her into the SCORE Jail.
