Dec. 5

Burglary: Overnight, 1416 Harvey Road NE. The assistant manager of Walgreens called to report the theft of propane tanks sometime overnight. Police did not put a dollar amount on the loss.

Vandalism: 12:05 p.m., 2810 D Place SE. Somebody damaged a woman’s car window while it was parked on the street by her apartment complex.

Swiping shoes: 4:30 p.m., 1101 Supermall Way SW. Somebody spied a man stealing shoes from Nordstrom’s Rack.

Vandalism: Overnight, 1400 block of Lake Tapps Parkway Southeast. A car’s owner reported all four tires were slashed, rendering it undriveable. Both Mercedes symbols also were damaged or removed.

Dec. 6

Arson: 4 a.m., 620 37th St. SE. A person or persons unknown set a recycle bin ablaze at Mt. Baker Middle School over the weekend. Police did not offer an estimate of the damages.

Commercial burglary: Overnight, 1221 Auburn Way N. Somebody crept into the Fashion Bug overnight and burglarized it of fashionable items undisclosed.

Burglary: Overnight, 321 Auburn Way N. An unknown suspect pried open the door to a business and then caused heavy damage while trying to swipe the safe.

Weapons offense: 11:30 a.m., 620 37th St. SE. Police arrested a student at Mt. Baker Middle School for having a dangerous weapon, a butterfly knife, at school.

Vandalism: 2:50 p.m., 900 29th St. SE. When employees of an RV storage yard spotted a man in a fenced storage yard, he took to his heels. During the guy’s flight from justice, numerous homeowners called 911 to report a man o’erleaping fences and running through yards. He got away.

Fraud: 2:30 a.m., 2402 Auburn Way S. A woman called police to report that someone had swiped her wallet at the Muckleshoot Casino and unlawfully used one of her credit cards.

Disorderly conduct: 2:46 p.m., 1300 15th St. SW. Police arrested a man for aggressive begging on a freeway off ramp west of the SuperMall.

Shoplifting: 2:40 p.m., 1101 Supermall Way, SW. Employees of Zumiez at the SuperMall caught a boy stealing a belt.

Vandalism: 3:18 p.m., 4000 block of A Street Southeast. A man reported that a vehicle with four boys inside chucked something at his car, damaging it.

Theft: 11 a.m., 202 N. Division St. A man called to report the theft of an undisclosed amount of cash and a debit card number from Auburn Regional Medical Center.

Firearm robbery of chain store: 4:57 p.m., 221 Auburn Way N. A man armed with a handgun robbed a local business.
