Auburn Police blotter | Dec. 7

Auburn Police responded to the following calls for service, among many others, between Nov. 24 and 29:

Nov. 27

Obstructing justice: 12:46 a.m., 2400 block of Auburn Way South. There was this guy, possessed of drug paraphernalia, who resisted, unsuccessfully it turns out, police efforts to bust him.

Receiving, possessing stolen property: 2:20 p.m., 101 Auburn Way S. Some guy traded a computer for an iPad, but when the guy tried to register the iPad, he learned someone had stolen it from a local company.

Fraud: 4:13 p.m., 1101 Outlet Collection Way SW. A man tried to pass a counterfeit $100 bill at the Regal Theaters.

Nov. 28

Theft: Overnight, 220 block of 6th Street Southeast. A thief or thieves broke into multiple vehicles in a local hotel’s parking lot.

Theft: 6:10 a.m., 5141 Auburn Way N. An auto sales lot called to report the theft of batteries from one of its vehicles.

Theft: 8:10 p.m., 500 block of 37th Street Southeast. A man complained that somebody had stolen his motorcycle’s ignition key.

Trespassing: 9:30 p.m., 1800 Howard Road SE. The Auburn Skate Connection so disapproved of the undisclosed actions of two men it kicked them out and told them to stay away until next year.

Traffic offense: 10:41 p.m., 600 Auburn Way S. An officer arrested a guy who failed to obey instructions on a traffic stop. Who knows, perhaps the methamphetamine police found in his possession played some peripheral role in his intransigence.

Nov. 29

Stolen U-Haul: Overnight, 917 Auburn Way S. Somebody stole a GMC moving truck from U-Haul.

Dec. 1

Vandalism: 5:32 a.m., 1000 block of 31st Street Northeast. A male kicked in the front door of his residence.

Assault with firearm: 8:19 p.m., 1509 30th St. SE. Somebody shot off a gun illegally, and police investigated.

Weapons offense: 8:33 p.m., 600 block of 19th Street Southeast. Police found shell casings after reports of an illegal discharge.
