Jan. 26

Shoplifting: 5:30 p.m., 1101 Outlet Collection Way SW. While eyeballing an in-store video, employees of an unspecified store in The Outlet Collection mall discovered that a regular customer was a thief.

Jan. 27

Theft: 8 a.m., 414 17th St. SE. An employee of an area business reported an act of gas thievery from a company vehicle.

Theft: 9 a.m., 29900 block of 114th Way Southeast. Somebody stole tools from a company work truck.

Theft: 1:22 p.m., 12100 block of Southeast 317th Place. A group of kids tried to steal some UPS packages from the front porch of an Auburn home, but a keen-eyed neighbor saw what was happening, chased them off, recovered the goods and returned them to said porch.

Theft: 1:25 p.m., 29430 block of 12th Avenue Southeast. A man complained that somebody had stolen $1,000 cash from his dad last November.

Trespassing: 4:47 p.m., 4010 A St. SE. For doing one-too-many do nots, a man got the “get” from Starbucks.

Jan. 28

Trespassing: 12:58 a.m., 762 Outlet Collection Drive SW. After a man’s undisclosed misdeeds cracked the red zone of Walmart’s naughty meter, the store showed him the exit with a strong encouragement that he sample it.

Trespassing: 11:24 a.m., 3702 West Valley Highway. Corporate Resource Services gave a disorderly female the boot.

Shoplifting: 3:30 p.m., 4010 A St. SE. An Albertsons manager reported that a young man had stolen $25 worth of merchandise.

Burglary: 3 p.m., 904 22nd St. NE. Somebody tried to break into the interior storage room of an apartment complex.

Jan. 29

Assault with a firearm: 9:15 a.m., 762 Outlet Collection Drive SW. After a traffic dispute in the four-way-stop-sign intersection on Seattle Outlet property, a man in his 40s pointed a 9mm Beretta at two men in a different vehicle. The suspect drove north on West Valley Highway until Auburn officers stopped him, recovered the handgun and arrested the man for second-degree assault, a felony.

Burglary: Overnight, 1301 31st St. SE. Burglars forced open an apartment office door and stole tools and electronics.

Theft: Overnight, 1610 block of Boundary Boulevard Southwest. Somebody stole copper electrical control wire from a man’s trailer.

Shoplifting: 11:40 a.m., 1509 Auburn Way S. A woman shoplifted baby milk from Rite Aid. Security caught her in the parking lot and got the milk back. The woman left in a car before police arrived.

Counterfeiting: 2:43 p.m., 320 Auburn Way S. Somebody passed a counterfeit bill at a Burger King restaurant.

Under the influence of something: 6:38 p.m., 510 M St. SE. After police found a girl behind the wheel of a suspected hit-and-run vehicle near the location of the accident, they arrested her for physical control of a car while a drug of some sort was coursing about in her system.

Strong arm robbery: 7:31 p.m., 801 Auburn Way N. A woman was loading groceries in her car after visiting Fred Meyer when a man grabbed her purse from the front seat. When the woman tried to get her purse back, the guy knocked her to the ground and got away. The suspect vehicle was a red Ford Focus driven by another male.

I’m high, can I crash here?: 10:45 p.m., 34000 block of 56th Avenue South. After a man crashed his truck into a house, police arrested him for DUI.

Jan. 30:

Theft: 2:51 a.m., 805 F St. SE. Bearing away a man’s ashtray, a thief scuttled off into the early morning darkness.

Feb. 2

Shoplifting: 6:02 a.m., 601 Auburn Way S. Man grabs cigs, cigs and man go out the door.

Theft: 1:15 p.m., 720 block of 6th Street Southeast. Somebody swiped a Seahawks flag from a front porch on Super Bowl Sunday.
