Auburn police responded to the following calls for service, among many others, between Jan. 21 and Jan. 25:

Jan. 21

Burglary: 8 a.m., 11815 Southeast 304th St. A bad person unknown broke into Hazelwood Elementary School sometime over the weekend but took nothing and damaged nothing.

Jan. 24

Burglary: 6 a.m., 1002 Auburn Way N. Somebody forced open a locked construction trailer at a building site and stole a power tool between Jan. 22 and Jan. 24. Police did not disclose a value for the missing tool.

CPS: 10:54 a.m., 1500 block of 21st Street Southeast. A woman came to the station to report that her children had been the victim of abuse at the hands of their father, who she said had shot them with an air soft gun.

Shoplifting: 1:40 p.m., 762 Supermall Way SW. While arresting two guys for shoplifting at Walmart, police discovered that one of the males had an undisclosed dangerous weapon on his person.

Theft:2:25 p.m., 400 block of 27th Street Southeast. Bad persons unknown stole a commercial dryer from an apartment complex. Police did not disclose the value of the dryer.

Jan. 25

Bomb threat or attack: 10:27 p.m., 6100 block of Evergreen Way South. Unknown persons detonated a sparkler bomb.
