Jan. 25

Postal theft: 11:40 p.m., 31500 block of 115th Avenue Southeast. A surveillance camera captured a male purloining packages from a residence, and a police detective ID’d said thief.

Burglary: Overnight, 2102 West Valley Highway N. Burglars cut a hole in a chain link fence to get into GI Trucking’s closed yard, from which they stole 32 semi-truck tires mounted on rims.

Vandalism: 12 p.m., 100 N. St. SE. After prying open hasps on two of ACAP’s sheds, vandals may have stolen things from one of them.

Vandalism: 3:30 a.m., 3235 Auburn Way S. A surveillance camera caught a man vandalizing a surveillance camera.

Vandalism: Overnight, 12722 SE 312th St. After an argument with his 19-year-old foster son the previous night, an Auburn resident woke to find that the young man had damaged stuff in their home and left.

Trespassing: 8:50 p.m., 140 15th St. NE. Arby’s told a naughty woman to get her beef out.

Burglary: 9:30 p.m., 1000 block of 37th Street Northwest. Thieves stole an undisclosed quantity of copper wire, its value undisclosed.

Theft: 9 p.m., 6700 block of Montevista Drive Southeast. A thief or thieves stole tools from a vehicle.

Jan. 27

Burglary: Overnight, 7100 block of Lindsay Avenue Southeast. Having broken into a maintenance shed, burglars stole several thousand dollars worth of tools.

Theft: Overnight, 4228 A St. SE. Somebody stole a generator from an Auburn resident.

Theft: 9 a.m., 1825 K St. SE. One Olympic Middle School student made off with another’s cellphone. When the cellphone was returned, its SIM card was missing.

Theft from vehicle: 7:50 p.m., 1800 block of Howard Road Southeast. A thief stole a safe from a motor home.

Felony theft: Overnight, 3532 B St. NW. Thieves thieved undisclosed equipment from a construction site.

Jan. 28

Theft: 11:35 a.m., 5100 block of Frontage Road. A thief or thieves stole different rear Arizona license plates.

Fraud: 12:37 p.m., 101 Auburn Way S. Police arrested a man at Safeway for forgery when he tried to use a bogus driver’s license to pay with a forged check, in the presence of a police officer.

Jan. 29

Trespassing: 5:17 p.m., 900 A St. NW. Whatever they were doing in there, police ordered a man and a woman to extract their persons from a tract of wetlands and busted the woman on a King County Sheriff’s warrant.

Theft: 2:35 p.m., 100 block of F Street Southeast. A man in a green 1998 Jeep Cherokee stole a package from a residential doorstep.

And he wonders why he’s her ex: 6:05 p.m., 600 block of 29th St. SE. A woman’s ex-boyfriend prevented her from contacting 911 services and broke her cellphone.

Trespassing: 1:51 a.m., 1501 Auburn Way N. Dunno what the dude did, but troublemaking of an undisclosed variety merited him the business end of the boot from a Chevron Food Mart.

Jan. 30

Burglary: Overnight, 2 E. Main St. Burglars hit the administrative office of a local apartment building.

Prescription forgery: 8:57 a.m., 1406 Lake Tapps Parkway. Attempted prescription med forgery — multiple events, spanning multiple jurisdictions — said the victim’s clinic.

Jonesing for a snack: 3 p.m., 1519 Auburn Way S. Police issued a man a criminal citation for shoplifting $1.99 worth of Little Debbie snack cakes from Goodwill.

Feb. 1

Vandalism: 5:04 p.m., 104 L St. NE. A woman told police that young persons had spray painted a building.

Assault with hands and fists: 7:24 p.m., 32115 105th Place SE. A woman’s boyfriend assaulted and tried to suffocate her.

Theft: 10:39 p.m., 100 block of 2nd St. NW. Somebody stole a diaper bag from a parked vehicle.
