June 29

Shoplifting: 7:35 p.m., 762 Supermall Drive SW. Police arrested a girl for shoplifting an unidentified something or other at Walmart. She also had warrants for her arrest for shoplifting and was a reported runaway.

Vandalism: Overnight, 600 block of I Street Northeast. A woman told police that someone had intentionally drained the brake fluid from her pickup.

Theft: 10 p.m., 333 15th St. NE. A man suffered the loss of his wallet at the Iron Horse Casino. Police did not disclose a value for the missing wallet or the contents therein.

Theft: 3 p.m., 1700 block of Auburn Way S. Prosecutors charged a girl with third-degree theft after she used her mother’s credit card account at a local drug store to buy items over a three-day period.

June 30

Theft of vehicle parts: Overnight, 101 15th St. NE. Somebody dug a catalytic convertor out of a vehicle parked overnight at the Metro Park and Ride. Police did not disclose a value for the missing parts.

Forgery: 11:07 a.m., 902 Supermall Way SW. Bad guys unknown committed forgery by passing a bogus $100 bill at a Shell station June 22.

Fireworks: 3:33 p.m., 600 block of K Street Southeast. A homeowner called to complain that someone at a neighboring house had sent bottle rockets aloft, said bottle rockets landing in her yard. Police arrived and seized a handful of bottle rockets but didn’t arrest the offender because of his tender age.

Vandalism: 10 p.m., 25 W. Main St. An Auburn inmate inflicted minor damage on a cell wall by scratching a small amount of grout off a brick wall.

July 1

Assault: 4:30 a.m., 333 15th St. NE. A man was assaulted in the parking lot of the Iron Horse Casino. Who assaulted him, how many assaulted him, why was he assaulted, was he injured, these are things police didn’t say.

Purse theft: Overnight, 440 16th St. NE. While a woman was dancing at BB Magraws, somebody stole her wallet from a shelf.

Burglary: Overnight, 31217 124th Avenue SE. Subjects unknown broke through a metal door on a construction site office trailer, but didn’t take anything from inside.

Shoplifting: 10:25 p.m., 1702 Auburn Way N. Police arrested a teen and a shirtless man for shoplifting beer from Top Foods. The topless man had run from police upon contact, but an officer apprehended him after a foot chase that began on I Street Northeast and ended at an apartment complex on Harvey Road. Police found the boy, two beers sticking out of his pockets, inside the store. The teen told police he had picked the suds up after his older companion fled. No charges were filed against the boy.

July 2

Vandalism: Overnight, 1020 Lakeland Hills Way SE. Vandals unknown punctured a tire on a trailer in the parking lot of Lakeland Hills Elementary School.

Trespassing: 2:06 p.m., 2101 Auburn Way N. Having guzzled coffee at Taqueria El Rinconcito restaurant, a man refused to pay for said guzzling, so the management gave him the boot and told him to stay away.

Theft: 7:10 p.m., 2602 Auburn Way S. A woman left her shoes unattended at a sun shelter at the fireworks stands, and somebody walked off with them.

July 4

Disorderly conduct: 1:31 p.m., 4000 block of D Street Southeast. An unknown man in a vehicle exposed himself to a 17-year old girl walking on a sidewalk.

Fireworks: 9:02 p.m., 400 block of 21st Street Southeast. Police confiscated illegal fireworks from multiple people.
