June 9

Vandalism: Overnight, 329 37th St. SE. A yokel, or yokels in cahoots with a compulsion to shatter, broke known windows at a bus stop.

Fraud: 12:30 p.m., 1101 Outlet Collection Way SW. Suspects unknown used stolen credit card information to buy lots of stuff.

Shoplifting: 2:30 p.m., 1101 Outlet Collection Way SW. A Victoria’s Secret salesperson on her break saw a silver Dodge Charger in the Outlet Collection Mall parking lot with a woman inside, said woman removing tags from bras the employee believed had been shoplifted from the store. The bra-thieving, tag-plucking woman took off before police could get there.

Theft: 4:40 p.m., 1435 West Valley Highway N. Somebody stole a motorcycle helmet off a man’s motorcycle parked in front of his work place. One of the man’s co-workers saw the theft and the perps fleeing in a black vehicle.

June 10

Theft: Overnight, 1302 4th St. SW. A person or persons unknown broke into the Auburn School District’s Support Services yard and stole several items, undisclosed.

Theft: Overnight, 800 block of 45th Street Northeast. A thief, or thieves, took advantage of the dead of night to swipe something undisclosed from someone else.

Burglary: Overnight, 3213 Auburn Way S. Burglars hit a construction site and stole construction-related materials, undisclosed.

Burglary: Overnight, 31101 116th Avenue SE. Burglars stole landscaping tools from a shed.

Animal problem: 10:14 a.m., 3200 block of 21st Street Southeast. Somebody found an unregistered pit bull in its own yard, and the owner got a schooling about a little something called registering your dog.

Animal injury: 12:10 p.m., 1123 E. Main St. A dog bit someone, authorities quarantined the dog at its home in Tacoma and Auburn’s animal control officer cited the owner.

Theft: 9 a.m., 711 E. Main St. Student A took student B’s cellphone and wallet from B’s unlocked P.E. locker. When somebody later found the property on A, school authorities suspended him or her from school. Police expect to charge A with being in possession of stolen property.

Trespassing: 4:14 p.m., 1002 37th St. NW. Police removed a man from a PSE substation.

Theft: 4:35 p.m., 1701 Auburn Way S. A Walgreens employee called 911 to report the theft of an irresistable can of cool, vivifying, carbonated beverage.

Assault with hands and fists: 11:10 p.m., 29832 Green River Road SE. Somebody assaulted a man near the Auburn Golf Course.

June 11

She’s been busy: 12:55 a.m., 1600 Emerald Downs Drive NW. Police arrested a woman on the testimony of four confirmed warrants listing the following offenses: lewd conduct, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a dangerous weapon; assault and theft; possession of stolen property; identity theft and attempted shoplifting; and shoplifting and causing an unnecessary 911 response.

Fraud: 9 a.m., 11000 block of Southeast 284th Street. Having opened a credit line using a man’s personal information, somebody made bogus charges.

Bike theft: 2:14 p.m., 101 Auburn Way S. A female reported that the black Specialized Hardrock bike she had been using, courtesy of a friend, had been stolen from the bike rack to which she locked it near the north entrance of Safeway. The bike was worth $75.

Theft: 7:55 p.m., 901 Outlet Collection Way SW. Police caught a male trying to steal used tires from a tire store that had closed for the night at the Outlet Collection. After talking to the manager by phone, police arrested the would-be tire thief for attempted theft.
