Feb. 28

Receiving, possessing stolen property: 12:49 p.m., 2341 Auburn Way S. A woman tried to pawn a stolen laptop computer, for which police busted her.

Burglary: 8 a.m., 4248 A St. SE. Two break-ins in one week to the RV storage yard inside the White River Estates Mobile Home Park roused management to call Auburn police. The first offense netted burglars stereo equipment, the second denuded one vehicle of all of its tires.

Theft: Overnight, 2080 block of 66th Street Southeast. Somebody stole two propane tanks from a construction site

March 3

Controlled substance: 9:08 a.m., 801 Auburn Way N. A male had been using drugs in a Fred Meyer bathroom with blood all over it. Police contacted the guy and took him into custody for having said unidentified, controlled substance.

March 4

Theft: Overnight, 1430 block of 50th St. NE. Somebody stole property, including a handgun, from a man’s vehicle.

Alcohol offense: 11:22 a.m., 201 Auburn Way S. Police arrested a male for being positively awash in an undisclosed fermented substance in public.

Theft: 12 p.m., 1600 block of 15th Street Northeast. Somebody stole one of a woman’s plants off of her front porch.

Theft: 3:20 p.m., 1301 Auburn Way N. Somebody stole an LED television from the back of a Rent-A-Center delivery truck while its driver was making a delivery at the business.

March 5

Vandalism: 9:38 a.m., 5710 block of Auburn Way S. Police arrested a young woman for malicious mischief-domestic violence after she tattoed her mother’s car with a hammer.

Luring: 7:35 a.m., 1000 22nd St. NE. As a girl was walking to school, an unknown man honked his car horn at her, pulled over and began running toward her. When the girl pulled out her cell phone to call police, the man fled.

Vandalism: 7 p.m., 3310 block of V Street Southeast. Somebody, possibly shooting from the area of Game Farm Park, shot a BBs at a residential window.

March 9

Theft: 2 p.m., 1 37th St. NW. Somebody stole a business’s scrap metal signs.

Theft: 12:07 p.m., 12700 block of Southeast 295th Street. Somebody swiped a man’s electric neon Bud Lite Seahawks sign. While the man suspected that he knew who the culprit was all right, he couldn’t back up his suspicions with evidence.

Asleep under the golden arches: 1:38 p.m., 702 Auburn Way S. An unidentified female and her male cohort in crime stole a laptop computer from an Auburn resident who had fallen asleep at McDonald’s.
