Auburn police responded to the following calls for service, among many others, between April 14 and 22:
April 14
Vandalism: 7:49 a.m., 33600 block of 56th Avenue South. A person or persons unknown besplattered graffiti, graphic imagery and obscenities on four cars parked in front of three homes in the 5600 blocks of South 336th Street and South 337th Street. Whoever did it continued to spray-paint wooden fences in an unincorporated neighborhood in the 5100-5600 blocks of South 340th Street. Some of the graffiti appeared to be gang-related, alluding to a criminal street gang.
Theft of car parts: 12 p.m., 1500 block of Pike Place Northeast. A resident discovered someone had swiped her Nissan pickup’s rear license plate and replaced it with a license plate from another vehicle.
Theft of vehicle: 3 p.m., 2323 Auburn Way N. Somebody, or several somebodies working in cahoots, stole a 2006 maroon F-250 pickup truck from an auto sales lot.
Assault with a firearm: 4:45 p.m., 1509 Auburn Way S. A victim of one gender or the other complained that somebody of equally undisclosed gender had pointed a firearm at him or her after an argument about something or other.
Theft: 5:30 p.m., 1101 Supermall Way SW. Somebody stole a bag containing softball catcher’s gear.
Shoplifting: 7:14 p.m., 1201 Auburn Way N. Somebody stole a Samsung Galaxy Note II cell phone cover from Radio Shack.
Theft: 8:15 p.m., 1500 block of 12th Street Northeast. Somebody swiped a handicap sticker from a vehicle.
Vandalism: 11:49 p.m., 280 44th St. NW. Somebody at Orca Pacific Inc. said that somebody had run over a fence on their lot. As it turned out, Kent police had pursued a stolen vehicle the previous night and did not inform the business.
April 15
Theft: 7 a.m., 4050 Auburn Way N. Some thief stole numerous power and hand tools from a contractor’s work vehicle parked at a commercial business.
April 16
Burglary: 2:03 a.m., 4432 C St. NE. Formula Corporation complained that three days earlier a heavy set man had stolen approximately 100-plus pallets from a locked fenced area. The suspect, who had loaded the pallets into his truck between 12:54 and 2:03 a.m., drove off in a light-colored, possibly white, Ford F-150 with an extended cab and distinct double windows, and either a rusty or dirty front hood or both.
Burglary: 6 p.m., 900 block of 4th Street Southwest. A padlock was stolen from an outdoor storage container/shed and a generator was taken from the shed.
Theft: 9 p.m., 2109 Auburn Way N. Somebody attached to some adult videos failed to return them to a store.
April 22
Vandalism: 1:17 a.m., 510 M St. SE. Police responded to the 500 block of M Street Southeast, where people were getting their kicks throwing eggs at vehicles in a parking lot.
