Auburn Police blotter | May 5

Auburn Police responded to the following calls for service, among many others, between April 25 and May 1:

April 25

Controlled substance: 9:53 a.m., 711 E. Main St. The powers that be at Auburn High School suspended three students from school for being off campus and for having drug paraphernalia on their persons.

Vandalism: 12:21 p.m., 711 E. Main St. A person or persons unknown cut a hole in Auburn High School’s north baseball field gate, allowing access to the field.

Vandalism: 3:52 p.m., 711 E. Main St. A person or persons unknown smashed out the windshield of an Auburn High School teacher’s car while it was parked at school.

April 30

Theft: 10:20 p.m., 2117 Auburn Way S. On this day police arrested somebody for an act of second-degree theft that had gone down at the Muckleshoot Bingo Hall property on April 26.

Burglary: 10 p.m., 3320 W. Valley Highway. A person or persons unknown burglarized one of the many businesses at the address given above.

May 1

Weapons offense: 9 a.m., 620 37th St. SE. Authorities at Mt. Baker Middle School found a knife on a student.

Pooch on the loose: 11:30 a.m., 910 9th St. SE. Police found a pit bull wandering loose in Les Gove Park. The dog’s owner arrived shortly after said discovery.

Animal problem: 2:51 a.m., 11300 block of Southeast 304th Street. A dog bit a child.
