Auburn Police blotter | Nov. 18

Auburn Police responded to the following calls for service, among many others, between Nov. 9 and 14:

Nov. 9

Vandalism: Overnight, 32000 block of 111th Place Southeast. A vandal or vandals took spray paint in hand and seriously uglied up a vehicle.

Trespassing: 9:11 a.m., 1811 Howard Road SE. Auburn Coin Laundry told some dirty-dealing dude to get clean out of there.

Marijuana: 10:58 a.m., 620 37th St. SE. School authorities caught three girls with a small amount of marijuana at Mt. Baker Middle School.

Gulp and galumph: 7:30 p.m., 1500 block of A Street Northeast. Having gobbled up their comestibles and downed their drinkables, some patrons decided to leave a local restaurant without paying, whereat the restaurant took great offense and called in the authorities.

Nov. 10

Burglary: 6:32 a.m., 1005 37th St. SE. A person or persons unknown burglarized Gildo Rey Elementary School, costing the school $600 in damage to several exterior glass windows and two computers, and in stolen candy and junk food. Burglars also hit Olympic Middle School the same night, taking only candy and junk food.

Vandalism: 1:21 p.m., 1825 K St. SE. An unknown person or persons shot BBs at the front windows of Olympic Middle School.

Nov. 11

Receiving and possessing stolen property: 8 a.m., 1500 block of 36th Street Southeast. Police recovered a man’s stolen leaf blower in Sumner.

Nov. 14

Sex offense: 12:19 p.m., 25th Street Southeast. A-40-year-old man was caught sending sexually-explicit text messages to a teen girl.

Vandalism: 1:29 p.m., 300 block of A Street Southeast. Rock throwers damaged two vehicles on A Street Southeast.

Trespassing: 8:43 p.m., 1000 28th St. NE. Police arrested a man who had declared his intention to ignore repeated officer warnings not to be in Brannan Park after sunset but instead time and again expressed his unshakeable determination to catch some sleep in a baseball field dugout.
