Oct. 13

Theft: Overnight, 1000 block of 37th Street Southeast. An unknown person broke into a vehicle and stole a ballistic vest, its value disclosed.

Forgery: 10:50 a.m., 529 8th St. NE. Between Sept. 1 and Oct. 13, somebody stole money orders from an apartment office.

Fraud: 6:16 p.m., 1521 D St. NE. A business owner came to the Auburn Police Department to complain about a former employee who had stolen money from his company between Jan. 1, 2013 and June 1, 2014.

Trespassing: 1:55 p.m., 4010 A St. SE. Despite the previous order that he not show his face at a local grocery store, danged if the man didn’t do it anyway, so police issued him a criminal citation and released him to the Northwest afternoon.

Trespassing: 4:07 p.m., 1101 Outlet Collection Way SW. A man who had previously shoplifted from a business drove away from said business without any license plates on his vehicle. Another police agency arrested the man and issued him a five-year-don’t-you-come-round-again from the business.

Oct. 14

Cops helping cops: 8:32 p.m., 911 17th St. NE. Having contacted a flop house known to shelter persons wanted on warrants, police discovered a treasure trove of them, four persons wanted by the Department of Corrections, one by the King County Sheriff and the last by the Kent Police Department.

Theft: 2:30 p.m., 30620 116th Avenue SE. Somebody stole an iPhone at Rainier Middle School.

Oct. 15

Burglary: 2 p.m., 9 16th St. NW. Somebody stole a television from a hotel room, its value undisclosed.

Oct. 17

Hit and run: Overnight, 31800 Lea Hill Road SE. The driver of an unknown vehicle smashed up two road signs and a City light pole. Police did not disclose the value of the damaged items.

Vandalism: Overnight, 615 15th St. SW. A person or persons unknown vandalized four Auburn School District buses in ways police kept to themselves.

Shoplifting: 5:35 p.m., 101 Auburn Way S. A male stole $158.24 worth of items from Safeway.
