Auburn Police blotter | Sept. 1

Auburn Police responded to the following calls for service, among many others, between Aug. 22 and Aug. 28.

Aug. 22

Shoplifting: 12:15 p.m., 1221 Auburn Way N. A male — kid or man, one of those mysteries — swiped clothing and fishing tackle from the Big 5 store on Auburn Way North.

Controlled substance: 5:55 p.m., 20 E St. NE. Police arrested a woman for having and using heroin at Washington Elementary School.

Traffic offense: 10:38 p.m., 1000 block of 14th Street Northeast. Police stopped a female — girl or woman undisclosed — arguing with her boyfriend, in her vehicle in the middle of a street without her lights on. In her subsequent flight from police, the female, general age still undisclosed — drove recklessly through residential neighborhoods.

Aug. 23

Immigration issue: 12:21 p.m., 100 S. Division St. Police arrested a man on an immigration warrant and then transferred custody to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Vandalism: 6:21 p.m., 3702 Auburn Way S. While a kid was arguing with his mother he cut a hole in her chair, so police busted him.

Aug. 26

Costly call: 9:04 a.m., 30800 block of 112th Avenue SE. A resident reported he lost $1,800 in a telephone scam.

Rough rider: 6:16 p.m., 1200 M St. SE. A police officer stopped a woman for a bicycle helmet violation. Refusing to cooperate, she was arrested on a warrant, and a search found drug paraphernalia in her possession.

Spree: 10 p.m., 2402 Auburn Way S. Three cars were broken into at the Muckleshoot Casino.

Aug. 27

DUI: 6:36 p.m., 12400 block of SE 312th St. Police arrested a man for driving under the influence.

Aug. 28

Burglary: 5:20 p.m., 800 block of Auburn Way North. A man was arrested for two counts of assault first degree, burglary first degree and an explosive device prohibited.

Trespass of real property: 9:09 p.m., 2455 F St. SE. Police arrested a man for trespassing and possession of marijuana. Three other subjects also were arrested for trespassing.
