Auburn Police blotter | Sept. 21

Auburn Police responded to the following calls for service, among many others, between Sept. 8 and 17:

Sept. 8

Vandalism: Overnight, 2400 I St. NE. A vandal, or more than one such in vandalic cahoots, pried open locked mailboxes.

Theft: 6:52 p.m., 201 Auburn Way S. Police investigated a theft of money at a Shell gas station.

Vandalism: 7:16 p.m., 402 29th St. SE. Vandals did their business on a light pole.

Vandalism: 1:30 a.m., 110 block of I Street Southeast. Police arrested a guy for second-degree reckless burning augmented with a dollop of third-degree malicious mischief.

Sept. 9

Trespassing: 8:41 a.m., 3800 A St. SE. A man was so out of order with his early morning behavior at White River Junction he earned himself a 10-year get-out-and-stay-away.

Theft: 5 p.m., 6000 block of 301st Street. A man reported the theft of his boat engine.

Sept. 10

Pot possession: 8:30 a.m., 711 E. Main St. Police busted two boys for possessing an undisclosed quantity of marijuana at Auburn High School.

Sept. 11

Assault with firearm: 2:28 a.m., 400 block of 29th Street Southeast. Somebody fired a shot or shots at a guy.

Sept. 14

Theft: 5:54 p.m., 2341 Auburn Way S. A woman swiped a diamond ring from a pawn shop and skedaddled to her getaway vehicle.

Sept. 16

Auto theft: 3:10 p.m., 1425 Outlet Collection Way SW. A thief or thieves stole a woman’s car, and when police recovered it a short distance away, the bad guys had already stolen numerous items from it.

Sept. 17

Vehicle theft: 3:30 p.m., 202 N. Division St. Someone pretending to be a valet at MulticCare Auburn Medical Center stole a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado.
