Auburn police join Red Robin in ‘Tip-A-Cop’ Fundraiser

Law enforcement officers and Red Robin are once again teaming up for the annual Red Robin “Tip-A-Cop” fundraiser, to be held on Saturday, April 18, from noon to 8 p.m., at the restaurant, 1002 Supermall Way,

Last year, the Auburn Police Department led the state with $51,400 raised for Special Olympics.

Also, between April 6-18, restaurant patrons are encouraged to purchase a “coaster” in the shape of an athlete medal for any dollar amount at any of the 35 Washington Red Robin locations to help raise funds and awareness of local Special Olympics programs. Anyone who purchases a coaster in support of Special Olympics Washington will receive a coupon for a bottomless beverage

Law Enforcement Torch Run T-shirts also are currently on sale at $20 each.

About the program

“Tip-A-Cop” is an official Law Enforcement Torch Run Campaign (LETR) fundraising event. Law enforcement officers and department personnel volunteer their time as “Celebrity Waiters” to collect tips at Red Robin Restaurants to support Special Olympics Washington.

“Tip-A-Cop” generates tremendous community goodwill and public awareness for Law Enforcement and Special Olympics.

This year’s goal is to raise over $150,000 statewide to benefit the athletes of Special Olympics Washington.
