Tracey Carter, who served as a police records supervisor for the Auburn Police Department since 2018, has died.
The APD announced Carter’s passing on its Facebook page on Tuesday, July 22.
“It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of an integral member of the Auburn Police family after a courageous 10-month battle with Platinum Resistant Ovarian Cancer,” the post said.
“Tracey Carter, who served as a Police Records Supervisor since 2018 for our department and community with unwavering dedication, strength, and compassion, was more than a colleague – she was family. Her commitment to service, her kindness, and her resilience touched everyone who had the privilege of working alongside her. Her legacy will continue to inspire us, and her absence leaves a deep void in our hearts and within our department…We extend our deepest condolences to her loved ones.”
“Rest in peace, Tracey. You will never be forgotten,” the post concludes.
Carter was preceded in death by her son, Tommy Carter. She leaves behind sons Travis and Tyler Carter and her beloved dogs Monte, Leo, Frankie, and Biscuit.
