Police blotter

Auburn Police responded to the following calls for service between Oct. 19 and Oct. 17:

Oct. 19

Harassment: Overnight, 400 block of 27th Street Southeast. Anundefined act of malicious harassment of some sort occurred with someone on the receiving end of said harassment.

Burglary: Overnight, 4300 block of Auburn Way North. An unknown suspect cut the back security fence at Bent Bike to get into a storage yard then stole a black and green Kawasaki. Two other motorcycles that had been moved for theft were left behind.

Theft: 9:11 p.m., 28th Street Southeast. A woman reported that somebody stole various jewelry items from her house. She suspects her ex took the items and pawned them at local pawn shops.

Oct. 18

Burglary: Overnight, 600 block of 35th Street Northeast. An unknown person cut the outer gate at a public storage yard, broke into a storage garage and loaded the owner’s property into a van inside the unit. The suspect drove the van through the garage door and through a steel security gate to leave the property.

Assault: 6:30 a.m., 1500 block of C Street Southwest. One male engaged in unwanted touching of another male, but was not arrested.

Disorderly conduct: 9:45 p.m., 400 block of Auburn Way South. Police arrested a guy for blocking traffic while challenging another guy to fisticuffs.

Harassment: 10:23 p.m., 1300 block of 30th Street Southeast. A male upset that a neighbor had parked in his parking stall threatened to kill the guy while firing a gun into the air.

Oct. 17

Motorcycle theft: 8 a.m., 31900 block of 124th Avenue Southeast. Somebody stole a classic Baja scooter valued at $2,400, green, and in tip-top condition.

Theft: 1 p.m., 1600 15th Street Southwest. A woman reported that somebody had broken into her car and stolen her purse. The woman’s bank notified her that someone then used her cards to go on a several-hundred dollar pig out at local fast food restaurants.

Shoplifting: 1:55 p.m., 1101 Supermall Way S.W. Police arrested two female persons for shoplifting undisclosed items at Burlington Coat Factory. One of the female persons provided police with a bogus name owing to the several Kent warrants out for her arrest.

Trespassing: 2:40 p.m., 101 Auburn Way S. Police arrested a male person of undefined age for trespassing at Safeway, after he was caught guzzling booze in front of the store he had previously been told to leave for guzzling booze in front of.

Theft from building: 4:09 p.m., 1620 Perimeter Road S.W. Somebody stole wallets, driver licenses, cash, and credit cards from an unsecured locker at the YMCA.

Robbery: 6:40 p.m., 30900 block of 124th Avenue Southeast. A woman called to report that two bad guys robbed her young son at gunpoint on the grounds of Lea Hill Elementary School. One suspect pointed a small black handgun at the kid and his friend while an accomplice snatched a bag of candy from his hand.

Harassment: 7:10 p.m., 5000 block of Auburn Way North. Police arrested a man for misdemeanor harassment after he was involved in a minor collision and threatened bodily harm against the other driver and a witness.

Theft: 6:48 p.m., 101 Auburn Way S. A Safeway customer accidentally left her wallet on the pharmacy counter and somebody stole it. The stolen wallet was found in the store soon after with three credit cards missing. Store video showed another woman grabbing the wallet from the counter and stuffing it inside her jacket when the woman walked away. Safeway pharmacy and Auburn Police Department records helped positively identify the thief, who was arrested at her residence for theft of the credit cards.

Assault: 11:25 p.m., 700 block of 37th Street Southeast. A male reported his wife struck him in the side of the head with a crescent wrench during an argument.
