Auburn Police seek public’s help to locate attempted robbery suspect

Auburn Police are looking for a suspect who attempted to rob the Bank of America branch in Auburn at 1341 Auburn Way N., on March 21.

Auburn Police are looking for a suspect who attempted to rob the Bank of America branch in Auburn at 1341 Auburn Way N., on March 21.

Police said the suspect walked into the bank around 11 a.m., demanded $1,000 and threatened to shoot employees if the teller did not comply. The teller was able to walk away from the counter, leaving the suspect yelling for her to return. The suspect left without getting any money, police said.

The suspect is described as a white male, mid-20s, 5 feet, 9 inches tall, slender build, pale complexion and red facial hair described as scraggly. The suspect was wearing a black or dark colored hoody shirt with the hood up, a gray baseball-style cap with writing of “Lrg” on the front, blue jeans and black over white sneakers.
