• Holiday Snack & Craft: 2-4 p.m., Dec. 3, Washington Elementary, 20 E St. NE, Auburn.

Prior to the parade, families can join the Auburn Parks staff in creating holiday gingerbread houses and ornaments. The pre-registration fee is $3 for residents, $4 for non-residents. Registration at the door is $5. It is recommended to pre-register prior to attending.

• Auburn Optimist Club Santa House: Dec. 3 opener, new location, Plaza Park, across from City Hall, West Main Street.

An Auburn tradition, share the joy with a photo with Santa. The Santa House will open directly after the parade and will have varying hours though Dec. 23. For more information, call 253-315-3025.

• National Lampoon’s “Christmas Vacation”: 6 p.m., Dec. 3, Auburn Ave Theater, 10 Auburn Ave.
