Brian Mack, owner of the Auburn Grocery Outlet, has received an Employer of Distinction award from the Auburn Rotary Club for his participation in its Partners for Work program.

Brian Mack, owner of the Auburn Grocery Outlet, has received an Employer of Distinction award from the Auburn Rotary Club for his participation in its Partners for Work program.

The Rotary District 5030 project works with businesses in offering employment opportunities to individuals with developmental disabilities.

• Auburn’s Lisa Pozzi (pictured below) was an alternate adult winner at the recent Washington Make It With Wool competition in Olympia.

The contest and fashion show – held in conjunction with the Washington State Sheep Producers Association – involved 18 contestants who modeled garments they had sewn with fabric that was at least 60-percent wool.

Pozzi was awarded and received a cash prize for sewing a skirt, jacket and unlined coat ensemble.
