The Auburn School District Board of Directors is seeking Auburn residents who are interested in serving as the Director District 3.

Former Director District 3, Melissa Laramie, who was elected to the position last winter, recently vacated the position to take a job in Georgia.

Residents who are interested in the position must live in District 3 in order to be considered for the position, according to the district. Interested residents can submit a letter of interest outlining qualifications and a resume via email amuxen@auburn.wednet.edu or 253-931-4917.

Letters of interest must be submitted by 5 p.m. May 31. The board will then interview candidates on June 6 before selecting the best candidate.

The candidate appointed by the board will run for the seat in the fall of 2023, according to the district.
