On Wednesday and Thursday,construction of the M Street SE and Auburn Way South Intersection Improvement project will require lane restrictions of eastbound and westbound Auburn Way South from 17th Street SE to M Street SE.

The work also will require intersection disruptions at the intersection of Auburn Way South and M Street SE, and closure of 17th Street SE/R Street SE north of 21st Street SE from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for construction activities.

The work is dependent on weather.

Access to residences and businesses within the project area will be maintained during construction. A detour route will be posted, but significant delays should be expected and alternate routes are strongly advised.
