The Auburn Valley Humane Society hosts volunteer orientation and trainings. The program is required for those wishing to volunteer at the center.

Sessions are scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. on the fourth Wednesday of the month at the Valley Regional Fire Authority Community Room, 1101 D St. NE, Auburn, or the fourth Saturday of the month from 10 a.m. to noon at the same location.

The first session is Saturday, Sept. 28.

For those interested, stop by the shelter to pick up a volunteer application or download one from the AVHS website. You may register to attend any one of the sessions in the future by emailing slavigne@auburnvalleyhs.org.
