The Auburn Valley YMCA has kicked off its annual Partners With Youth Campaign to raise $146,000.

Pamela Schmidt is serving as campaign chairperson, while Shelly Domenowske was named community chairperson of the campaign. Steve Mehl is round table chairperson.

Domenowske, a self-employed accounts receivable specialist, has been a volunteer with the YMCA since 1993. Under her leadership, community volunteers will work to raise funds to ensure YMCA programs continue to meet growing needs in the community.

“The Auburn Valley Y is providing a safe environment for kids and their families to learn life skills and healthy lifestyles,” Domenowske said. “The Partners With Youth Campaign allows all families to benefit from the YMCA. Last year’s campaign helped over 6,000 kids to participate in programs at the Auburn Valley YMCA.”

Ninety-five cents of every dollar raised in the YMCA’s Partners With Youth Campaign goes directly to fund programs. These programs provide teens with safe and caring environments, children with adult role models and youth with opportunities to learn leadership skills.
