An 84-year-old Auburn woman killed in a Kent hit-and-run collision while walking Sunday night, Feb. 4 in the 800 block of Central Avenue South, has been identified.

Natalya S. Radchuk died of multiple blunt force injuries, according to the King County Medical Examiner’s Office Feb. 6 media report.

Officers responded at about 8:15 p.m. after several 911 calls, according to a Feb. 5 Kent Police news release. Callers said that a woman was lying in the street after being struck by a vehicle and appeared to be deceased.

Officers arrived and determined the woman Radchuk had died from her injuries, according to police. A witness said they saw the woman walking northbound in lanes of travel, not in a crosswalk, just prior to the collision.

A witness saw a smaller red sedan reportedly hit Radchuk head on, then speed off without stopping, according to police. The witnesses were unable to see a license plate number.

Police are asking for anyone with information about the incident to call 911, call the Kent Police tipline at 253-856-5808 or email KPDTipLine@kentwa.gov. Reference case number 24-1671.
