Brand new day at the Auburn Valley YMCA

The New Year will bring an invigorating brand revitalization to the Auburn Valley YMCA and 11 other local Ys.

For the first time in 43 years, the YMCA of the USA has unveiled a new, national brand strategy to increase public understanding of the positive impact Ys have in their local communities.

As part of the ongoing effort to communicate the Y mission, the Auburn Valley YMCA is unveiling new messaging and a new logo that reflect the vibrancy and diversity of the organization. This brand revitalization will highlight the Y’s three core areas of focus: nurturing the potential of kids, promoting healthy living and fostering a sense of social responsibility.

The nonprofit will refer to itself collectively as “the Y” (as the public has done for years) yet will retain YMCA as it currently appears in its branch names.

“We’re making this change now because with better understanding of our cause, we believe more people will join us in the urgently important work of strengthening our community,” said Jason Berry, executive director of the Auburn Valley YMCA. “We work side-by-side with our neighbors every day to ensure that every member of our community has the opportunity to learn, grow and succeed.”
