CERT graduates 19 new members

The City of Auburn Emergency Management Office recently announced the addition of 19 new members to the area’s Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), bringing the total number of graduates in the local program to 263.

The City of Auburn Emergency Management Office recently announced the addition of 19 new members to the area’s Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), bringing the total number of graduates in the local program to 263.

The 19 new members graduated from the area’s 14th CERT course, which included three days of intensive training.

The training culminated in a hands-on practical exercise simulating an earthquake inside the closed Crites Huff Building, in Auburn.

Graduates of the class included: Mandiann Baumgarner, and Earl Wilson from Algona, Larry Baird, Darlene Clyde, Alex Davis, Brian Davis, Jennifer McCollum, Brian McDaniel, Abron Moore, Lori Pollock, Joe Santos, and David Sherfield from Auburn. Tammy Miller from Kent, Sarah McKinlay from Maple Valley, Penny Brock, Frank Ho, Elaine Kozanitis, Matt Kozanitis, and Joanne Norman from Pacific.
