Northwest Family Church – in partnership with Top Food & Drug and The Auburn Food Bank – will be distributing 500 Thanksgiving meals

to needy families on Nov. 22.

Auburn’s Big Give will run from 9 a.m. to noon in the parking lot of Top Food & Drug, 1702 N. Auburn Way.

The meals, which will include a turkey and a bag of groceries, will be given away on a first-come, first-served business. There is a limit to one turkey/bag per household.

• Mckinney Vehicle Services of Auburn

will visit the Albertson’s parking lot,

1347 Auburn Way N., from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today to collect donations for the Auburn Food Bank. Albertson’s is collecting donations as well.

• The Auburn Valley YMCA is holding a donation drive for the Auburn Food Drive, from now until Nov. 23. The food drive is open to YMCA members, as well as the Auburn community. Please bring non-perishable food items to donate at the YMCA, 1620 Perimeter Road SW. No homemade food, please. Donations will be accepted Monday-Friday, 5 a.m.-9 p.m.; Saturday, 8 a.m.-6 p.m.; and Sunday, 11 a.m.-6 p.m.

• A food drive for Northwest Harvest will be conducted Nov. 17-23 by 106.1 KISS FM and Top Food & Drug stores throughout Puget Sound.

Donations may be taken to any Top Food & Drug store, including two locations in Auburn – 1702 Auburn Way N., and 1406 Lake Tapps Parkway E.

• AAA Washington is kicking off its new “Soap for Hope” donation drive to collect toiletry items and distribute them to persons in need via local shelters, food banks and other charitable organizations. Donations may be dropped off at the AAA Renton office located at 3900 E. Valley Hwy., Suite 105, starting today. Donations made at the Renton office will benefit the Auburn Food Bank.
