City looks to fill 2 openings on Human Services Committee

The City of Auburn has two openings on its Human Services Committee.

For the Reporter

The City of Auburn has two openings on its Human Services Committee.

The committee – comprised of seven volunteers who are appointed by the mayor and confirmed by City Council – makes recommendations to the City on the allocation of and application for grant funds to be used for community development.

In addition, the committee helps the mayor and City Council identify local social service needs and recommends priorities to meet those needs.

Committee members are appointed for three-year, staggered terms beginning Jan. 1.

The committee meets on the fourth Monday of every month, from 4 to 5 p.m., at City Hall.

Meetings may occur off-site, especially during the spring months when the committee makes agency visits.

If you are interested and would be willing to serve on the committee, please email Tamie Bothell, with the City, at tbothell@auburnwa.gov, no later than March 11. Bothell will help facilitate the application and paperwork process.
