City seeks input on water efficiency goals

The City of Auburn is seeking comments as part of the water use efficiency goal setting process for the Auburn Water Utility. Public comments will be accepted at the Planning and Community Development Committee meeting at 5 p.m. Monday, July 27, in the Council Chambers at Auburn City Hall, 25 West Main St.

Goals are to provide a benchmark for achievement and play a significant role in defining the success of a water use efficiency (WUE) program. Comments also may be submitted in writing to Chris Thorn, Water Quality Programs Coordinator, City of Auburn, 25 West Main Street, Auburn, WA 98001-4998.

The City is proposing to target a one percent reduction per year in water use by implementing an expanded list of measures aimed at reducing consumption.
