Communities in Schools of Auburn (CIS) is coordinating a Clothes 4 Kidz clothing drive to benefit Auburn School District students from March 31 through April 25.

Clothes 4 Kidz provides Auburn students in need with clean, dry and appropriate-sized clothing, improving their ability to focus on learning. Fall and spring clothing drives seek donations of cash and new and gently used apparel for students throughout the school district.

Community members are encouraged to donate clean and gently used clothing or new (in package) underwear and socks at any of 13 donation sites in Auburn. Needed sizes range from youth small to adult extra-large.

“Some students don’t even have one change of clothing or they’ve outgrown what few clothes they do have,” said Arlene Pierini, CIS Auburn executive director. “We often think of children as wanting playthings, but the students we work with are so very grateful to have something decent to wear.”
