King County will be offering a free two-day workshop geared toward business recycling at Veterans Memorial Park, located at Park Avenue and E Street NE in Auburn on May 12 and 19 from 7:45 a.m.-noon.
The workshop is designed to help organizations improve their recycling and discover ways to save money at the same time.
Participants will learn:
• How to recycle and cut costs
• How recycling impacts climate change
• How to conduct a waste audit
• How to go after the low-hanging fruit first
• How to translate waste audits into actual savings
• How to calculate their business’s carbon footprint
• How to start a recycling program
• How to engage employees and improve morale
There also will be a virtual tour of Waste Management’s Cascade Recycling facility
