MaKaela Meyers, 6, above, dances with her dad, Jacob, during the Daddy Daughter Dance Sock Hop at the Auburn Community & Event Center last Saturday. The popular sock hop offered two separate sessions for dads and daughters.

Girls and their dads, uncles, grandfathers and other special adults were invited to enjoy a night of dancing and refreshments, put on by the city of Auburn’s Parks, Arts and Recreation Department.
