Owners of their beloved canines converged at the Auburn International Farmers Market for the Dog Days of Summer event, a competition at the Auburn Sound Transit Plaza last Sunday.

Miles Crawford’s colorful Skywalker won for best costume. Stephen Kastresh’s little Diesel won best in show and Ashley Young’s mighty Duke won best walk.

The market returns Sunday with a special guest. Northwest garden guru and personality Cisco Morris will appear at noon under the clock tower at the plaza, 23 A St. SW, where he will share some tips and tricks.

The market runs 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. each Sunday through Sept. 23.
