Early morning fire damages Auburn Manor Apartments

VRFA and South King Fire crews fought an early morning fire on April 7 at the Auburn Manor Apartments in the 900 block of 14th Street Northeast. All occupants got out safely, but four of the nine apartments were affected: one with smoke and water damage; a second with water and smoke damage; and the other two sustained smoke damage. The VRFA estimates damage to the structure at $250,000, and damage to the contents at $150,000 The cause of the fire is undetermined.
