Ecology: Auburn cleanup site passes review

The 1990s cleanup of contaminated soil and groundwater at the former Auburn Sewer Lagoons site in Auburn continues to protect public health and the environment, according to a periodic review by the Department of Ecology.

The 1990s cleanup of contaminated soil and groundwater at the former Auburn Sewer Lagoons site in Auburn continues to protect public health and the environment, according to a periodic review by the Department of Ecology.

The property consists of four parcels at the intersection of B Street Northwest and 30th Street Northwest. The property, previously occupied by a five sewage lagoon cells, is occupied by a warehouse complex.

Ecology seeks public comment on the review through April 6.

Ecology reviews sites that have undergone cleanup if the cleanup included a special condition that must be maintained on the property. The reviews occur every five years.
